With things often being designed to the limits of what is permitted these days, it pays to make sure things are constructed in the right place and at the right level. Getting a Licensed Surveyor to set out the works is a good way to ensure this happens. In addition, an as-built survey is often completed after the works are constructed to prove the position is correct.
Drainage Setouts
The approved design plans from the engineer will specify the position and required levels of the new drainage. A Surveyor can ensure that manholes are located in the correct place and that the right levels are provided to ensure that the grades of the pipes allow the drainage to work. If the grades are not correct then the capacity of the pipe and downstream system is compromised and pipes may need to be relaid. Correct Setout helps ensure that this does not happen. Boundary Consultants are very experienced in this and will provide clear plans detailing what was Setout and when. Please contact us for advice and see below for examples of Setout plans.
